My Ordering is the white label app powered by OrderYOYO. The restaurant gets its own bespoke web and app so it can receive orders directly from its customers. Any restaurant can build its own online storefront using this sytem.
Project Description
My role
I was heading a design team consisting of three designers. The goal was to rebuild the interface of an existing framework we use on this B2C product. The project was led by a Product Owner and assisted by four developers.
Ideation
The main concept for this project was bespoke. We already have a successful, and high converting product in the market, but we wanted to make sure that our clients get their own customisable online platform.
Colours
Our main focus was to find a solution that matches the brand of our clients, and the general colour of the template plays a big role.
Reviewing the Data
Since we were changing the whole interface of the app, it was important to preserve what we are doing right and possibly improve what it is wrong in the product. We chose to build a CSD matrice, where we would segment the functionalities in Certainties, Suppositions and Doubts.
User Flow
We reviewed the user flow, splitting into five main user cases, this way we were able to optimise the check out process.
Prototype
After we defined the user flow we have made our first prototype, together with the developers.
Testing
We did two main tests before releasing our first version.
We tested internally with our QA team, and we run a guerrilla test in the streets with 8 strangers.
After releasing the first batch updates, we would monitor the usage via hotjar.
